I can still smell the stench of the burnings. It has to be my imagination. I'm too far out and too far underground for the smell to reach. Aren't I?

I’m mindlessly clicking links, barely scanning the articles. I can’t think straight. He’s still not here. Oh God, please, please be with him.

The Emperor’s Most Wanted List was just released. Subron7 has been identified as the nation’s most wanted felon. Through social networks, he disseminated lies about our beloved Emperor and the gift of the Mark Of Safety, graciously given to us all. He instigated unrest. Protection Troopers surrounded his home in North Dakota yesterday. Upon entering they encountered several booby traps. 7 troopers were killed and four critically injured as the home was searched. Subron7 has yet to be apprehended.

The Emperor asks for the assistance of all loyal Obomicans to locate this national menace. He is believed to be armed and dangerous. The Emperor has stated that any loyal Obomican who captures him, dead or alive, will be rewarded with 10,000.00 credits. Credits will be automatically deposited upon presentation of the traitor. Any person having information as to the location of this criminal should communicate with local authorities immediately. Failing to provide information about a wanted traitor is a crime. Any persons withholding such information will be punished as a co-conspirator .

As I get on my knees to pray, all I can hear is the not so soft snoring of my baby, Ever. She is finally passed out from exhaustion. I’m glad someone is getting some rest.

Dear Lord, please watch over Subron7. He always seemed such a good man. I never met him outside of Hub-pages but there he was so kind, so honest, so brave. Please be with him. He will need you now more than ever.

It occurs to me what a twisted circle we have made. Subron7 is a veteran. He risked his life to defend his country. He spent his time and money speaking out for what is right. Now he has been labeled a traitor while the real traitors run the nation into the ground, handing it to Satan on a silver platter loaded to overflowing. I’m so angry. I want to move, to do something, to help, and yet I’m on my knees doing the only thing I can do.

Clyde and Billy Ray were running from the police when they literally ran into a young girl as they rounded a corner all assholes and elbows. She had just gotten out of a big SUV. The passenger door was still open and the engine running. Clyde knocked her to the asphalt when he ran into her full force. Billy Ray always was quick on the uptake. He dove in the open passenger door just as some lady, probably the girl’s mother, was coming out of the driver’s door. Boy, did she look ready to explode. Clyde pulled his gun as he yanked the girl to an upright position by her hair.

The woman froze solid as a piece of ice. Billy Ray was yelling, get in. So Clyde tossed the girl in and jumped in right behind her. Billy Ray gunned the motor and they tore out of the small Texas town like a bat out of hell. There were only four police officers in the po-dunk place. Two of the four had been on foot chasing them. Chances were good they would make a clean get away.

“She’s a pretty little thing. We got to hold up for a while. We need some entertainment.”

“F#ck you,” the blond haired girl screamed as she tried to claw his eyes out. That lasted about as long as ice water in hell. Clyde backhanded her. She went out like a light slumping over in the seat. Clyde laughed.

“Good. The little hole has spunk. It’s more fun when they fight.”

“OK genius, since you got the entertainment part all figured out, you want to tell me where the hell we’re going?”

“Do you remember that abandoned shack we found last summer when we was deer hunting?” Clyde had that look he got when he was about to cut lose when he said that.

Billy Ray smiled big as he said, “I remember there was a sign that said private property. The only person we saw was that chick with the monster dog. She didn't see us. I still wonder what the hell she was doing way out there all alone. Maybe we can nab me some entertainment too. I’m not keen on sharing your sloppy seconds.”

Hastily going back to my seat at the computer, my heart fills with an elated sense of joy as I check the monitors and see movement in the underbrush just north of my underground bunker. It’s got to be him. Thank you God. A tear of joy rolls down my cheek. I’m glued to the screen. Finally, he’s coming home. The seconds drag on like an eternity as I wait for a clear shot of his face. Thank you, oh Lord, thank you.

Elation quickly turns to increasing terror as what’s causing the movement comes into full view. It’s not my beloved husband, David. It’s two men almost dragging what looks to be a teenage girl. They are talking to each other. She has her head down. Her body language makes me think she doesn't want to be with them. I can’t hear what they are saying as the camera’s are video only, no audio, but somehow I get the impression this girl is in a lot of trouble. She’s so small compared to the men. She looks like she barely weighs a hundred pounds. She might be 14, maybe. Oh dear God! Please, give me strength. Help me do what's right.

Daniel had fallen asleep holding the unconscious man. He knew he was crying as sleep took him but he refused to make a sound. Father had always said people should rejoice when he died. He would go to Heaven and what could be better than that? Daniel knew deep in his bones his parents were with God now. He still missed them. The ache in his chest rose up constricting his throat every time he thought about what had happened. Real men don’t cry he tried to tell himself but the tears continued to fall. His last thought as he drifted off was of Ruthy. What had happened to his sister?

Closing my eyes, begging God to give me the courage to do what I know has to be done, the now unattended screen shows a new BHO Network News bulletin.

Washington D.C. has been flooded to overflowing by loyal, marked, Obomican’s clamoring to see justice via blood. Every hotel in D.C. is full to capacity. Traffic is clogging every artery into the city as more and more loyal citizens come to the Emperor’s capitol. Tent cities are being erected in every public space. When interviewed just minutes ago the Emperor stated, “Come one, come all. The more the merrier.”

The price of freedom is not a one time payment. It's a revolving account.

America has remained free, arguably until recently, largely due to our men and women in the armed forces. I’m sure you have heard the old saying the best offense is a good defense. While he may or may not have been one of your favorite presidents, Theodore Roosevelt said, “Speak softly and carry a big stick.” The current proposed cuts to OUR nation's defense budget will be in effect the same as us running off at the mouth while carrying a toothpick through gang bang central, alone, at midnight, flashing big wads of cash! Our defense will be drastically weakened.

What is going on that would make the leader of the free world think this is a time to not worry about defense? Perhaps, it is how cooperative Iran is being about the Straight of Hormuz? Is it maybe the kindness and compassion of the new leader of North Korea? Perhaps, it is the overwhelming love and support shown to America by Iraq? Is the Taliban toast? Are Muslim fundamentalist suddenly deciding that America is the good guy? Or, is it possible that perhaps a strong America is not wanted, that our military being weakened to the point of immanent vulnerability is the goal? Hmmm.

Think about it!

The current proposed budget under Obama for the fiscal year 2012 has roughly a 1 trillion dollar cut to our nation’s military budget while it increases spending for entitlement programs. At a time when the world is so volatile, this is beyond dumb. It’s insulting. Proposed cuts include such things as a reduction in retirement benefits for our veterans, cuts in health care services for said veterans, and cuts to the GI bill. Further, he stated he plans to lay off 80 thousand American soldiers. At a time when he is supposedly trying to create jobs, he’s laying off 80 thousand soldiers? Interestingly enough, he’s having the IRS hire thousands.

Let me see if I have this straight? We are increasing the money for entitlement programs for everyone except the ones who fought and risked their very lives. We are creating new jobs to tax Americans who are losing money and paying more to get less, but we are going to let go of the very people who keep us safe?

Does that make sense to you?

Our military is also being weakened further by the passage of laws allowing for “bestiality”. Allowing immoral behavior to run rampant corrupts our military. It weakens the lines between what is perceived as right and wrong. Further, it promotes rape. You can’t tell me the animal in question gave express permission to be had before the act. Now, if we are going to be realistic, the chances of an America soldier doing this, I would hope are extremely slim. The chances of said sick individual getting caught are slimmer still. That is not the point. The point is it attacks family values, what is right, basic decency, by further undermining the strict moral conduct expected of our military. Do they always live up to it, especially when bombarded by the constant horror that is war? I’m sure they don’t always. They are human and everyone makes mistakes. But, to legislate such sadistic atrocities removes the social expectation that they be moral and just within the mind as well as within the courts.

I can create fictional characters all day, but it's more fun when some of us are real. Please, join the party! America needs you!

This guy is wound up! I don't agree with every little point he makes as I think solar and wind power are good ideas that just are not economically feasible, yet. I do like the rest! He's going off on a major rant. He's right.
